My name is Josh Hightower and I run a health club called Titan Fitness in Hewitt, Texas.

My business is dedicated to helping women and men achieve their health and fitness goals through customized nutrition and fitness programs.

And business is booming!

I’m looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person to interact with current members, and turn prospects into new members.

If you are hired for this position, you’ll begin right away.

My health club offers a casual, fun environment, nice training equipment and the opportunity to learn in a new environment.

Oh yeah, I’m also very fair, respectful and appreciative. I like having fun and making money providing highly valuable fitness services and products.

You will be compensated fairly, treated fairly and I will certainly look for ways to pay you more for your efforts if they warrant it. I want someone who enjoys working with people and making a difference in the lives of others – because that’s what we do in my health club.

Tasks You’ll Expected To Perform

Complies with proper procedures for check-in of guests and members
Trains other Customer Service Representatives to maintain high levels of customer service
Enforces club rules and regulations
Enforces adherence to dress code, policies and procedures
Manages inventory levels for retail business
Answers telephone at front desk using Titan Fitness phone script
Collects fees for membership upgrades, guests and other services
Handles information calls and books appointments when needed
Processes invoices, day sheets and other necessary paperwork
Cross-trains in other areas of club such as floor training and cleaning of club to provide back-up to these areas as needed
Maintains cash drawer and completes shift change verification at the end of each shift
Cleans and maintains service desk, lobby area, and all areas on cleaning schedule
Meets and greets all members and guests
Knows all memberships available and proper procedures for renewals and change of status request
Participates in job recruitment process
Participates in the overall safety, comfort and cleanliness of facility
Promotes retention, value, continuing education and professional follow-up throughout the guest and member’s total experience
Provides information to prospective members regarding club facilities, programs and memberships
Participates in meetings for club staff
Maintains highest level of professional ethics and compliance with all club rules, policies and regulations
Continuously monitors clubs level of cleanliness and equipment and facility maintenance
Ensures that all required checklists are completed and processed as required
Fully understands all policies and procedures related to the front desk operations, including the club management software, member check-in
procedures, retail P.O.S. operations and all sales functions
Stays abreast of new policies within the company and is able to both understand and implement the various procedural modifications that often occur
Maintains personal commitment to fitness
Memorizes and understands Titan Fitness mission statement, core values and company unique selling positions (USP)

Required Skills

These are the skills you must already have in order to qualify for this position:

Good Communication Skills – you will be talking with my clients, who are VERY important to me. You must be comfortable conversing in-person and on the phone and know how to conduct yourself professionally, and deliver clear instructions to the clients. I’ll teach you everything you need to do during a training session, but I can’t teach you manners and professionalism.
People skills and personality – must LOVE working with people! As mentioned above you must be very comfortable working with people.  This is an exciting club and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them.

Health and Fitness Education – You do not need personal training experience, but you should have a working knowledge of health and fitness
Efficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Bonus Skills

If you have these additional skills, your resume will go right to the top of the stack (but if you don’t have these skills, you should still apply because these are not mandatory).

Previous experience (fitness studio, health club, in-home trainer, etc.)
Basic nutrition knowledge
CPR Certified
